Danny Garcia (33-1, 19 KOs) will square off against
Brandon Rios (34-3-1, 25 KOs) at the
Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in
Las Vegas, NV on
February 17, 2018.
Garcia, a former super lightweight and welterweight world champion, is looking to bounce back after a tough split decision defeat to
Keith Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs) in
March at
Barclay's Center in
Brooklyn.
Rios, a long-time contender in the lightweight and welterweight divisions, most recently defeated
Aaron Herrera (33-8-1, 22 KOs) by way of knockout in
June of this year.
The card will also feature
David Benavidez (19-0, 17 KOs) making his first defense of his
WBC World Super Middleweight Title against
Ronald Gavril (18-2, 14 KOs). This fight is a rematch of the
September 8th bout in which
Benavidez captured the vacant title by defeating
Gavril by split decision at the
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in
Las Vegas.
