Guerra de Gallos: Battle for Tucson Preview

Peltz Boxing Promotions in association with Raging Babe returns to Tucson, Arizona on Saturday, July 21st with an eight fight card that is loaded with local fighters. The main event is an eight round contest between Tucson-based super lightweights, Alfonso Olvera (10-4-1, 4 KOs) and Wilberth Lopez (22-9, 15 KOs). Both men are looking to win their third straight professional bout.

The undercard features a super lightweight bout being billed as Phoenix vs. Tucson. Those of you who are familiar with Arizona understand that a deep-rooted rivalry exists between these two cities. Sergio Lopez, who will make his pro debut, will represent my personal favorite Arizona city, Phoenix. Chris Gonzalez (2-0), who has two professional victories in the last year and a half, will represent the "Old Pueblo," Tucson.
