Former light heavyweight champion,
Prince Badi Ajamu defeated Chicago's
Edgar Perez via a six round unanimous decision at the Claridge Hotel & Casino in
Atlantic City on Saturday, August 5th. This fight was part of the
Mis Downing Promotions in Association with Roy Jones Jr.'s Square Ring Promotions Presents Boardwalk Brawls show. I was able to interview both
Roy Jones Jr. and
Prince Badi Ajamu at the press conference leading up to this great show. These two men fought on July 26, 2009 for the
WBO NABO Light Heavyweight title, a bout that Jones Jr. won by unanimous decision. Both men discussed a November 2017 rematch with one another for a noble cause.
